Gone with the wind
a) After the nervous college entrance examination ,I eventually have ample time to read the novel GONE WITH THE WIND .It is a famous story based on the war between the north and south in American.
b) The main character in the novel is Scarlett ,Who is the oldest daughter of a rich man ,Gerald.Scarlett grew in a soft and sweet atomosphere .Gerald was a immigrant of Ireland ,thouth no money belonged to him at first ,he established his own “kindom” with only two hands .And he is very kind to everyone ,no matter what the colour of their skin ,white or black.Scarlett’s mother is a noble woman who had received sever family education. She did with all the daily things elderly,even looking after slaves or giving birth to others .
c) Scarlett chooldhood is full of happiness and freedom ,but at the age of sixteen ,the world of scarlett began to change .At the bottom of Scarlett’ heart,she loved Ashley very much! Then when then news came that Ashley would be married with Melanie ,she felt surprised and even couldn’t accept the fact. With the psychology of revenging Ashley, Scarlett married to Melanie’s brother before the day of Ashley’wedding.
d) With the development of the war many young man died ,including Scarlett’s husband ,who had left a boy to Scarlett .Scarlett can’t stand the boring life as a widow. At the same time Ashley also joined the army ,so his wife Melanie invited Scarlett to the home of Charles’s aunt .Without more consideration , Scarlett left for Atlanta with her little son .
e) For the changment of the environment ,Scarlett felt a little better .Much to her happiness ,Charles left a large amount of heritage, for the more and more nervous relationship between the north and sourth ,women in Atlanta were mobilized to support the war .One time the hospital hold a party to collect contributions .In the party ,Scarlett met strange person ,whose name was Rhett .And Scarlett remembered that he was just the person who had her love to Ashley .Rhett invited Scarlett to have a dance ,though she was critized by all the woman around her ,Scarlett accepted the invitation .After the case ,Scalett became more and more open to things around her .The war was terrible ,but it also gave Scarlett a chance to fight with the old custom .
f) Ashley came back from the battlefield for one week .Scarlett made up her mind to tell Ashley her true feelings.At the last several munites ,Scarlett eventually had the chance to stay alone with Ashley ,but for several reasons ,Ashley refused her .The war made him lost all the ardour.
g) Atlanta was at the risk of being occupied by the enemy before long .Everything was in confusion ,what worse, Melanie was going to give birth to a baby .With the help of Rhett ,Scarlett eventually took everyone left back to her home ,the Tara Plantation.To her surprisement and sadness ,her dear mum had died yesterday !And her father was out of normal for his wife’s death .Situation had never been so difficult like this .Scarlett was only 19 years old .Hower ,Scarlett decided to take on the task .
h) At this time ,Scarlett became more and more determined ,she was never the naughty girl three years ago .In order to live on ,Scarlett even plant cotton like a peasant ,while complain all the time .Melanie was in poor health ,but she never complain about anything ,all she gave to Scarlett was unselfish love .
2. Under Scarlett’s guidance ,Tara was more and more better ,the best news was that the war was over .Many southerns cried for their failure ,however ,in the opinion of Scarlett ,what she need to think about is how to keep their home safe .
3. The war’s over also made the society in a mess .The black slave who had been fired by Scarlett’s farther came back .The deceitful man wanted to possess the Tara Plantation .Then he asked Scarlett to hand in a largement of money ,or she will confiscate the only left house .
4. Scarlett had no ideas to solve the problem.then she decided to turn to Rhett .To her dispointment ,Rhett was keep in captivity .Without any feasible ideas ,Scarlett married to her sister’s fiancé .Tara was finally saved .
5. During this time ,Scarlett engaged in a wood factory .It was a incredible thing that a woman did business .
6. Frank died a unnatural death .After several months Scarlett got married ,and this time the bridegroom is Rhett .
7. It seemed that Scarlett eventually found her ture love ,but Scarlett still can’t make out whether she love Ashley or not .In a accident ,Scarlett and Rhett’s lovely daughter died .
8. Regardless of doctor’s advice ,Melanie was pregnant ,unfortunately ,the Azrael’s death signal land on Melanie .The series of bad news made Scarlett finally understand that her ture love to Rhett .
9. However everything is too late ,Rhett had decided to leave her ,Scarlett was too tired ,all she can say was “Tomorrow is a new day .”
10. When I read out the book ,my heart was full of sorrow ,Scarlett was a plain girl ,but what she did was not plain .She didn’t stay silent in the war time ,her own world was changed by herself stuglement In fact ,many people lost what they have like Scarlett ,but they all gave up to strive for the happiness that essentially belonged to them .Scarlett have the braveness to change the old rule .What she finally have is the consequence of her own effort .Another character that I love most is Melanie ,she is so kind-hearted ,she always stand in the side of others ,in my heart ,she is the embodiment of kindness .
11. GONE WITH THE WIND is written by Margaret Mitchell .And it is the only book he write in her all life , Margaret Mitchell was born in Atlanta ,where she always hear about many stories about the war between the northern and southern states in American .then when she was wounded in home ,she determined to write a book about the war .
12. It about ten years later that she finally finished the book ,and her effort was paid back by allthe people on the world .they loved their novel so much .In 1939 ,the film based on the book came out .
13. Margaret Mitchell became famous rapidly ,everything has two sides,her regular life was broken down .It is the most important reason that she couldn’t write a book after GONE WITH THE WIND .
Everything is over ,then what I want to say is “Read the book ,or you’ll be regretted.”
