Certainly, it does not mean that traditional exhibition should break away from e-commerce. In contrast, the new economy, whose key part is network E-commerce and exhibition industry economy, changes human’s production and living manner not only in width but also in depth. As a fresh industry which promotes trade, business and culture communication, exhibition industry requires to absorb and utilize network and e-commerce technology to improve the pattern and technology of exhibition. This is for the development in new economy era. Exhibition industry can use e-commerce to settle business problem effectively, to improve management greatly, to decrease cost dominantly and to catch market opportunity rapidly, hence establish a long-term, profitable business pattern. The basic business principles still work here. Strategy making, flow controlling and profit obtaining still determine business subsistence. By using e-commerce, speed of completing these basic factors will be boosted and the operating quality will be advanced several-fold. E-commerce simplifies actual exhibition mechanism, decreases its cost, saves time, improves competitiveness and promotes its rapid development. For the time being, the application of IT by international well-known exhibition companies is more wide and deep than by national companies. Therefore, national exhibition companies should expedite their steps to catch up. The most obvious feature of “exhibition in exhibition” which was held in Beijing in January is the appearance of some e-commerce companies servicing exhibition and exhibition software companies. The interposition of these science and technology companies improves Chinese exhibition management and abridges the gap between the national and international companies. E-commerce and exhibition have combined closely.3 Part II. How will exhibition industry apply e-commerce?

3.1 Exhibition guild
At present, we need a unitive exhibition guild, which is one of the main reasons for low quality and inferiorly repetitious exhibitions. Without authoritative and impactful industry criterion, exhibition in-house competition appears disorder. This is against the healthy development of exhibition and results in resource decentralization and bad-ordered industry. Even some international exhibitions with high reputation have been struck by similar exhibitions, which resulted in exhibitors’ distributary, substantive decrease of national and international show area. Exhibition cannot realize scale-management. After China’s entry into WTO, this kind of out of order competition will weaken our competitiveness. In order to harmonize exhibition activities, exhibition industry in most western countries established exhibition guild and industry criterion, which ameliorated their activities. (1) Publicize detailed criterion and bylaw, make clear that organization with what kind of qualification can hold exhibition of which administrative level and what kind of content and exhibitor should meet what kind of industry standard etc. This will realize management standardization and avoid resource waste matters like inferiorly repetitious exhibitions.
