Abstract
Black population have been suffering racial discrimination since the 16th century in America They were shipped from Africa to America as slaves at that time They struggled to fight for their decent life with the support of the American government, the situation of the African-American is getting better and better However, racism against African-American people still exists
This thesis is mainly about the racial discrimination against the African-American in contemporary America and it is based on the movie American History X First, the author makes a brief introduction about the history of the slavery Then through the proceeding plot of American History X, the author analyzes its historical reason, ideology reason and economical reason Finally, the author puts forward his own opinions about the racism and some relevant measures and methods to eliminate the racism
Through the paper, readers can have a new understanding and comprehension in terms of racism against African-American
