Abstract: Along with global environmental and resource problems continuously appearing, it is more and more important to protect environment, so green design becomes the tendency of future design development. Bamboo arts and crafts are made of bamboo materials, which is a green material of environmental protection, something renewable and easily degradation. Bamboo arts and crafts are accordance with the major tendency of international green design development. This paper has analyzed the feature of green design and its development tendency as well as the characteristics of bamboo design and design. From the modem development of arts and crafts perspective, this paper discusses design method of bamboo arts and crafts under green design concept.51126

1 Feature and the Intension of Green of "Green Design" 

"green design " is in product entire life period, prior consideration  product environmental property(natural resource use ; detachable ness; recoverability;repeatedly usage etc.) , and regard it as design goal, consider and guarantee the deserved major attribute of product( function, service life, quality and cost etc.) parallels while satisfying environmental goal." green design " have following features: ① safety. Design can not be dangerous and use normal ecological order as well as the personal safety, this is the prerequisite of " green design ".Therefore in design ,can not use or decrease to use any use of the design material that brings poisonous side effect, material and the accessory etc. that glue to receive dose ,printing ink as well as other will consider the safety for person and the free from contamination for environment fully. ② energy saving. On world, each kind of resource becomes poor day by day , any a kind of behavior of mankind should consider to economize energy and resource. Future design should use material or the material with renewable use with decreasing, is basic , this is also a principle of " green design ".③ ecological ness. " green design " embody design, is for the important meaning that environmental protection plays the part of , it should avoid with great efforts that the environment that causes because of the fault that is designed improperly and is selected material pollutes with pollution, " green design " should advocate that use is naturally environmental to take off the material of easy degradation and the material that is easy to collect.

Along with  people " environmental consciousness "strengthen further, the demand for product factor will become more reasonable and environmental protection. The modern design of arts and crafts in, if the appearance sesthetic ness of emphasizing arts and crafts only ,overlook the factor of its energy saving and environmental protection, so, it is not that one accords with the modern human product that develops demand certainly , can not be called as excellent design. Therefore, designer should blend  " green consciousness " tin he development design of arts and crafts.
