摘要随着改革开放的不断深入，中国和世界的联系越来越紧密，学好英语变得越来越重要起来。而学好英语的根本途径之一是掌握足够多的词汇，学习词汇的方法有很多，但随着个人电脑的日益普及，桌面背单词也越来越受到人们的青睐。市面上的同类软件也逐渐多了起来，但这些软件要么收费或者太大，要么问题种种或者功能不全，以至于不能真正满足用户的需求。基于当前的用户需求和市场现状，本人利用Java编程语言和SQL Server 2000数据库软件，设计开发了一个小巧、绿色、友好的背单词软件系统——桌面背单词软件系统。希望该软件系统能够改变使用者的学习方式，提高用户学习单词的效率，最终达到提高用户英语水平的目的。9525

Title Software System of WordTutor on The Desktop
Abstract
With the continuous deepening of reform and opening up, China and the world link together more and more closely.Learning English is becoming increasingly important. One of the fundamental way of learning English is to master enough vocabulary. There are many ways to learn vocabulary, but with the increasing popularity of PC ,learning vocabulary on desktop of PC is favoured by more and more people . More and more similar softwares arise on the market , but they are either charged or too big, or having sorts of problems ,or insufficiency .So these softwares can not really meet the needs of users. Based on the current user needs and market situation, I used Java programming language and SQL Server 2000 database software, to design and develop a small, green, friendly software of WordTutor on the desktop - Software System of WordTutor on The Desktop. I hope that the software system can change the users' learning style, improving the efficiency of the users' learning vocabulary, and finally achieving the aim of improving the users' English level.
