The Dual Characteristics of Hemingway’s Character——On The Old Man and the Sea (Yu 18-21) researches about the old man to reflect Hemingway’s character. After all, though the themes vary, most researches about Hemingway are about Hemingway’s own experiences and characters in his literary works. However, the following paper focuses on the causes of Hemingway’s character formation according to his Hemingway’s experiences and works by Freud’s personality theory.
