[摘要]：论文以徐州市为研究区，结合近三十多年以来徐州市的经济社会数据，从城市空间扩展强度、人口-城市扩展指数、城市空间扩展关联度系数等方面分析了徐州市的城市空间扩展的时空变化特征，并从自然、经济、人口、交通、政策要素等方面分别分析了徐州市的城市空间扩展的驱动力。研究的结果表明①改革开放以来徐州市的市区面积和徐州市的建成区面积增长十分显著，特别是市区面积更是以一种跳跃式的方式急剧扩大，建成区面积增长虽然相对平缓但本世纪初开始建成区面积的增速也开始明显增长；②城市空间扩展强度在本世纪初的头十年处于近几十年的一个极大值，表明本世纪初的这十年徐州市的城市空间扩展处于一个飞速增长阶段；③而也就是在这十年间徐州市的人口-城市扩展指数水平也相对较高，城市空间的扩展与实际需求并不平衡；④城市空间扩展过程由多种因素共同作用，本论文通过对多个相关要素的回归分析，分别得到了它们与城市空间扩展的关联度度，通过对比它们的关联度系数，了解了徐州市城市空间扩展质上的一些问题与表现。最后分别从几大影响因素分析了徐州市的城市空间扩展的驱动力。39087

Abstract
