“智能楼宇”一词最早出现在北美地区，随后在西欧一些发达国家得到发展。亚洲的智能楼宇课题研究最早出现在日本和新加坡。因为每个国家的国情不同，所以海外的不同国家对智能楼宇的定义也不同。其共同点都是实现：信息、电气设备、安检与网络技术相结合，实现自动化管理。42708

  我国对智能楼宇的定义是5A+3S，即5个自动化和3个综合。这一点和同处亚洲且人口密集的日本比较接近。

  智能楼宇系统最先在国内出现时，激起了很大的质疑声。很多人认为，在国外，对智能楼宇有需求的基本都是发达国家，而中国还是一个发展中国家，首先要解决的是住房难问题，而不是如何让一部分人更舒适的问题。可随着国内经济的极速发展，智能楼宇研究势头发展迅猛，甚至有些高校已经开设相关方面的专业课程。论文网
