摘 要随着中国经济的发展，英语变得越来越重要。英语作为一门全球化语言，发挥着不可替代的作用。这篇论文主要从汉语和英语在文化、词汇、语境等方面的不同之处来体现汉语环境对中学生英语学习的影响。中学生在学习英语时受汉语环境的影响很深。他们是在汉语情景下学习英语，难免会受到汉语思文的束缚和汉语负迁移带来的消极影响。为了减少汉语环境带来的消极影响，有必要为中学生学习英语创造有利的学习条件，以提高他们的英语水平。36521

Abstract With the development of China’s economy, English has become more and more important. As a global language, English has the irreplaceable function. This paper mainly discusses the influence of Chinese context on middle school students’ English learning from different aspects such as culture, vocabulary, context, etc. Middle school students have been deeply influenced by Chinese context when learning English. They study English in the Chinese context,thus they cannot get rid of Chinese thought and negative influence from Chinese transfer. In order to decrease the negative influence from Chinese context, it is necessary to create favorable conditions for middle school students’ English learning, so as to improve their English level.

I. Introduction
As we all know, English has become more and more important in the world that we live in. It has been a very popular foreign language for learners in China for many years. English plays a useful, important and necessary role in Chinese life. No matter what your job is, you are in connection with the foreign language. With its inpidual uniqueness，it is easy to be used in most countries. Gradually, English has its function and position that cannot be replaced. Because of its broad influence, it is the truth that the world we live in is becoming smaller and smaller. In addition to the native speakers， other people are also using English in different ways. In China, more and more people want to join the English group so that they can learn English better. The students in middle school are eager for improving their ability of studying English. However, influenced by Chinese contextual background, middle school students who learn English cannot communicate with others in a high level. The research which is influenced by Chinese context is of great importance. This paper includes several parts to introduce how the Chinese environment influences English learning. Middle school students should know the present situation of English learning in China and distinctions between English and Chinese. They should pay attention to the factors affecting English learning. In order to understand how the Chinese context influences the English learning, they also know the conditions for English learning. In order to study English better, we should create conditions for English learning.
