Abstract Computer has already come into millions of family as a means in modern life. With the rapid development of computer science and technology, the new computer professional vocabulary and terminology come out continuously, which makes it impossible to compile all in ordinary dictionary. In this paper, the author investigates and studies the word formation and relevant translation methods of computer English through reading literature. First of all, this paper explores the word formation methods of computer English, then the principle for the translation of computer terms, and finally some methods and skills of the translation for computer English vocabulary. It is hoped that this paper can help computer English learners to promote understanding and application of computer English.

I.    Introduction

With the rapid development of the computer technology and the Internet in our country, especially in the last 10 years, a large number of advanced computer technology and computer equipment have entered into the domestic sphere. In order to understand computers and the network, learning English is essential.
