Some students think little of the importance of vocabulary and they are indifferent to vocabulary learning. They suppose it is no use to remember substantial vocabulary and feel bored when learning vocabulary. Also, they hate word learning and testing, especially the word dictation. These students do not perform well in English class and often get poor grades in dictations and exams. 

There is a few students feel that vocabulary is not a big problem for them and some of them think it is really easy. For example, a student told me that she can remember almost every word after the teacher read and explained in the class. No wonder that this kind of students feels less stressful of vocabulary learning and they can use the words and expressions properly in speaking and writing.
