The thesis consists of five chapters. Chapter One is an introduction of the whole research, which describes the background information, significance and overall structure of the research. Chapter Two reviews literature both at home and abroad, including foreign language learning motivation and classroom participation. Chapter Three is the research methodology, which contains subjects, research questions, instruments and procedures. In Chapter Four, the results of the research, including questionnaire and classroom observation, are analyzed and discussed. Chapter Five summarizes the major finding, provides implication and points out limitations.
