摘要本文从新闻文体学的角度，结合前人的研究理论成果，对英语新闻的标题、导语、正文的文体特点以及翻译的词汇、语法特点进行总结。同时，选取代表性的普利策奖新闻作品、著名英语新闻篇目，作为丰富例证，对有争议的一些议题，进行比较分析，得出结论。通过相当数量的文献资料查阅，以及英语新闻实例的佐证，得出英语新闻的一般性文体特点以及翻译特点。9848

Title Translation of English News
Abstract
This thesis based on the previous theory of stylistics on English news, sums up the stylistic features involved in the news title, lead and main body. Selecting representative news items of the Pulitzer Prize and famous news broadcasting for the data, it analyzes the news translation on lexical and syntactic levels so that the translation features will be obtained on the basis of their stylistic features.

1 Introduction
1.1 Research Background
Rapid and timely news coverage is one of the main ways of information dissemination. With 80% of the publications and Internet information published and released in English, the importance of translation of English news is evident. However, although in recent years the media industry has got rapid development and economic globalization also witnessed large amount of news as well as the translation materials, colleges and universities still pay equal attention to translation of English news, not to mention cultivation of teachers, teaching materials, curriculum and improving students' capabilities of English news translation. Therefore, research on the translation of English news is meaningful.
1.2 Research Design
This thesis mainly deals with the stylistic and translation features of English news. Methodologically speaking, this study integrates academic with practical research method to analyze translation and stylistic features of English news. The practical materials come from classical and famous news broadcasting as well as some representative news of the Pulitzer Prize.
From the perspective of news stylistics and based on the previous theory, this paper attempts to conclude on stylistic features involved in the news title, lead and main body. To enrich the content and exemplify the conclusion, representative news of the Pulitzer Prize will be cited. It analyzes the news translation on lexical and syntactic levels so that the translation features will be obtained on the basis of their stylistic features.
2. Stylistic Features of English News
2.1 Previous Study on News Features
The news English is among the most common and practical styles. It can be understood through the generalized and cramped aspects. The cramped news refers to the news reports, while the generalized news involves various types of articles published in newspapers and magazines. Stylistics in News is rich with its own features. As a kind of mass media, the purpose and practices of writing articles are generally consistent, that is "show the fact in the most interesting way.
