Title The system analysis and design of the mechanical fuze for grenade launchers

Abstract

A mechanical contact fuze which can be used in 40mm on the grenade is design to combat underwater targets such as frogman, the requirement is that there is a function of the projectile that can be detonated after the 1s is in the water. Through the analysis of the previous correlation-fuze, the design scheme is determined. The fuze is a mechanical contact fuze at the grenade bottom, which is made up of explosive train, redundancy safety devices, rotor interrupter device and contact firing mechanism in structure. Through the oretical calculation to check the strength of the dangerous parts of the components, proof that the strength meets the design requirements. By checking the strength of the spring, calculating the rotation time of the horizontal rotor type interrupter device and the runaway clockwork delay arming mechanism, calculating the reliability of combustion initiation of the fuze, proof that the spring, the interrupter device, the delay arming mechanism and the contact firing mechanism meet the design requirements. By calculating the dimensional chain of each component of the fuze, proof that the design of each part of the fuze meets the requirement of the interchange and can be assembled correctly. The fuze Specifications and functions can be achieved through the calculation.
