Those papers are representative in this area. In addition, Yang Quanhong also mentioned the translation of China-featured Neologism in his monograph. He pointed out that "normally paying attention to the relevant English-language media, we can find some new expressions which reflect the new situation and new things in China from time to time." So, objectively speaking, some English translations of media (translation alone by foreigners) are mostly used directly. But we have to avoid copying blindly, particularly in some political terminology translation, which involves the issue of political orientation and Western countries.
2. Problems in translation of China-featured Neologism
Although the Chinese-English translation industry has gained many achievements, some neologisms’ Chinese-English translation are not satisfactory either in theory or in practice. there are still many problems. On the one hand, the China-featured Neologism reflects our unique things and phenomena, implied Chinese national characteristics, and its translation has its own peculiarities. Therefore, the corresponding translation virtually has no precedent to draw on, which requires the original translation by translators. At the same time, due to propaganda requirement, the new word translation timeliness is particularly important. However, as the targets of the translation are many non-English-speaking readers, so feedback is lagging behind, which is difficult to change the translation for some mistranslation.
3)文献综述
(1) “the political and economic current affairs and English words Selected”, Which included a considerable number of new words with Chinese characteristics. It collects many new words with Chinese characteristic covering economy, military, trading, law and so forth.
(2)Chinese fashion new word’s translation——Zhu Shixiang. In this passage, the writer concludes all kinds of China-featured Neologism with their English translation.
(3)China-featured Neologism Category by Yan Haitao,Shanghai:Shanghai science and technology publishing house,2004,which involves 5000 Chinese-English translation of new words.
(4)American News Magazines vocabulary with Chinese characteristics translation——Gu Jing. This paper discusses the alienating translation strategy adopted into the strategies of English translation industry and domestic China-featured Neologism. In order to maintain the vocabulary of Chinese culture, sometimes the editor even neglects the acceptability for translation in English, resulting in the emergence of a large number of Chinglish.
4)总结
As can be seen from the above literature, it is not a blank on the academic and researches are fruitful on the topic of this article. However, despite various studies and researches, it still needs to be thoroughly explored. The translation of China-featured neologism plays an extremely important role in communicating with the other countries. China needs to show a new and active image to the world; China's outstanding national cultural heritage and the development of today's society also needs to be delivered to the outside world more timely and effectively. Therefore, to do well with the translation of China-featured neologism, and promote the improvement of the overall level of Chinese to English translation as well as strengthen external publicity, good translation skills will undoubtedly have a positive influence and role.
