This system sets one light and one CCD camera to get the shadow figures and uses software to analyse them in order to identify the products between qualified and substandard.
For the figure identify, 3D laser scanning system is a good choice. 3D scanning system can get a full 3D image, thus the exact position of nail in the space can be obtained to improve system accuracy. And the high-precision and high-quality products can be produced.
However compared with the cost performance of these four systems, 3D laser scanning has the most expensive price and the highest requirement of the software and hardware, which is the hardest system to be achieved. And also the mechanical inspection system does not have a good accuracy. Therefore, after discussing with the supervisor Anna and the manager of the company AvenPallen, the optical inspection system and the vision technique system are the best system can be considered to be improved. In the end, the optical inspection system and the improve system shadow inspection system have been tested.
