摘要君子理念深深地根植于中国传统文化之中；绅士文化作为一种鲜明的民族文化也使英国与其他国家有所不同。它们分别对中、英两国教育产生了极大的影响。通过查阅并研究关于绅士文化和君子理念的历史文献和著作，本文对君子教育和绅士教育进行了对比研究，分析了它们在教育目的、教育内容和教育方法等方面的异同，并根据文中的分析结果以及中国现代教育中存在的部分问题，为中国现代教育的发展提出了建议。35652

Abstract Junzi ideology is deeply rooted in Chinese culture for thousand years, Gentlemen culture is an impressive national culture which distinguishes England from other countries. Based on reading historical material and works on Junzi ideology and gentleman culture, a comparative study is made on Junzi education and gentleman education, the similarities and differences between Junzi education and gentleman education will be analyzed from the perspective of purpose of education, content of education and teaching methods. Based on the analysis and problems existing in modern education in China, suggestions are proposed to promote the development of Chinese modern education.

I. Introduction
As essential part of the thoughts of the Confucius, Junzi ideology has been effecting the Chinese traditional culture. As we all know, English gentlemen culture is regarded as the principal aspect of English national spirit by their citizens. English society has been deeply influencing by gentlemen culture. Junzi ideology is also regard as the ideal character of Chinese people, at the same time, English gentlemen culture is taken for the ideal moral quality of English people , and the two thoughts perspective have a strong impact on the education of China and England. So scientists in every place of the world have been studying on the two aspects. Its development process and the characteristics that every gentlemen should have and its affects are usually the main contents, which gentlemen culture study. But until now, studies on Junzi ideology are most about its meaning and influence. They are also usually a part of studies on Confucianism. Until now there are few comparative studies between Junzi ideology and gentleman culture and their influence on education.
