摘 要课堂是中学教育的主要场所,课堂学习是传承人类文化的基本形式之一。对课堂文化的研究既是一种趋势,也是提高教学质量的内核所在。课堂文化的核心是在长期的课堂教学活动中形成的、并为师生所自觉遵循和奉行的共同的课堂精神、教学理念和教学行为。在初中课堂的进程中,课堂文化常常被我们忽略或忘记。因此,聚焦中学英语课堂文化建设既是推进中学课程改革的方向,也是提升学校建设的必由之路。论文首先介绍了国内外有关文化与课堂文化的研究成果,进一步分析了构建课堂文化的重要性。本文分析了课堂文化的现状,分析了课堂文化差异的根源,并通过研究发现中美英语课堂的英语教师、学生和教法均有很大差异。所以我们主要从教师的教学和学生的学习两大方面上做个改革,注重培养学生实际应用能力,以达到高效率的英语课堂教学。40675

Abstract 
Classroom is the main site of school education, and classroom learning is one of the basic form of human culture inheritance. The research of classroom culture is not only a trend, but also the core to improve teaching quality. Classroom culture is the core of classroom teaching activities. Teachers and students are consciously followed and pursued by the spirit of the common classroom, teaching ideas and teaching behavior. Construction of classroom culture has attracted a lot of attention of scholars and colleagues. In the process of building a modern vocational school, the classroom culture is often ignored or forgotten by us. Therefore, the focus on Junior Middle schools is not only to promote cultural construction of English classroom curriculum reform, but also to upgrade the status of modern schools. This paper first introduces the domestic and foreign culture, curriculum culture and classroom culture, research, further analyzes of the high schools, the importance of building a classroom culture. This paper analyzes the current status of the classroom culture in secondary high schools. This paper also analyzes the root causes of the differences of foreign teachers and Chinese teachers in the English classroom in China and America. Through this paper, we can come to the conclusion that there are so many differences between China and America in English classroom, such as teacher’s role, student’s role and so on. Therefore, based on the excellent teaching experience of America, we could improve our teaching to achieve high efficiency of English classroom teaching.

I.    Introduction

With the development of Chinese economy in the past thirty years, the connection between our country and external world is closer. Therefore, the study of foreign language is more closely linked with the people’s daily life. There are more and more native English speakers bring a series of Western teaching methodologies to the English class in China, but there are also many difficulties as the Chinese students usually keep silent due to the cultural differences between the china and American.
