2.1 About Jack London
Jack London (1876-1916) is a novelist. He was born in San Francisco; his family is instable and poor. Worked when he was a child, he sold newspaper, later on became the sailor, and into the factory did unskilled laborers. Back from Ruth family, Martin couldn't sleep for a long time, on the one hand, he felt that upper society as a tall wall stands in front of city wall, that he cannot overstep. On the other hand, the Ruth's love is like a red hot fire, in the burning. Finally, Martin decided, in order to win the Ruth, he must be among the high society.
He found the books on etiquette and syntax. Martin spent time every day in the library. Later, he had a library card, when the library was closed, just borrowed a few, and then read them at home into the night. Martin gave up alcohol, began to insist to brush his teeth everyday, and also bought nail clippers and a stripe crease of trousers. He paid attention to his behavior.
