In this paper, the author will compare and analyze the ways of family education between China and the United States. After understanding the way and influence of Chinese family education and American family education, Chinese people would reflect the defects in the concept of family education in China, and could draw on the excellent educational ideas in American family education, which enable Chinese family education to be adapted to the development of the times.

 With the development of the times, family education becomes a word that we often mention. And people also realize the significance of family education for their children. 

Family education, which is one of the components of education, refers to a small-ranged education model, in which children are educated mainly in family. Some scholars believe that in the process of children’s growth, family education plays a more important role than social education. Some scholars even believe that family education plays a decisive role in the process of children’s growth.
