摘要:竹象征着气节和坚贞,中国是第一个开始使用竹制品的国家,竹刻在中国由来已久,与中国悠久的文化有着不解之缘。其中宝庆竹刻是一种集观赏、实用于一体的民间工艺,它是从实用竹器工艺中脱胎出来的一朵艺术奇葩。邵阳作为湖南西南部的文化中心,自古以来都盛产楠竹,竹制工艺十分发达。宝庆竹刻就起源、盛行于邵阳,它是当地人民智慧的结晶,是祖先留给我们的珍贵文化遗产。2006年5月20日,这一天,宝庆竹刻经国务院批准认定为第一批国家级非物质文化遗产名录,从而肯定了宝庆竹刻在中国竹刻艺术中的地位和影响,强调了它是一种不可再生的宝贵的艺术资源。虽经历过几段低迷时期,发展有些滞后。但在政府对非物质文化遗产保护的支持下,传承人毫不动摇地延续竹刻雕刻的技术,社会大众不断提高保护非物质文化遗产的意识,加上以宝庆竹刻本身具有精美绝伦的工艺、古朴典雅的特征、热情奔放的地方特色,风光几世纪延续至今,并且形成一定规模的产业。20538
