摘要课堂教学中的鼓励性用语是用来激发学习者内在潜能的重要手段,也是形成学习者可持续发展能力的一个重要途径。完美的课堂教学离不开鼓励性用语。用好鼓励性用语,不仅能有效地活跃课堂气氛,融洽师生关系,而且对学习者的成长也是一个有力的推动。尽管中外教育理念不尽相同,但是中外教师课堂鼓励性用语既有共性也有差异。我们应该了解我国的教育体系并且研究我国和国外的教育系统,找到共性和差异使我们的课堂教学更加完善。19320

 Abstract
Classroom encouraging words are important means to stimulate learners’ inner potential, it is also an important way to develop learners’ capacity for their sustainable development. Perfect classroom can not be separated from encouraging language. If encouraging words are well used in the classroom, it not only can effectively activate classroom atmosphere, harmonious relationship between teachers and the learners, but also a powerful impetus to learners’ development. Although education systems in China and foreign countries are different from each other, they both have similarities and difference. Chinese educators should make clear what our education system is. And they should also research into Chinese education system and foreign education system to find out similarities and differences so as to make our classroom more perfect.

A Comparative Study on Application of Classroom Encouraging Words by Chinese and Foreign Teachers
I. Introduction
Educator Disturber said: “The art of teaching is not to impart knowledge, but to inspire, wake up, and encourage.” Encouraging words used by teachers are the terms which can inspire the learners to think, strengthen confidence, lead to success to learners. For teachers, it should be sincere and from the heart, rather than the superficial or a mere formality. Encouraging words include some common spoken language and body language. Generally speaking, so as to give full play to the role of encouraging terms, better mobilizing the enthusiasm of learners, making classroom teaching more active and exuberant, and teachers should combine the two forms. Perfect classroom can’t live without encouraging words. It can be expressed in terms of encouragement, sometimes, it may just be a word or just an ordinary trust in the eyes, a gently clap on one’s shoulder, but its power and influence are not overlooked or underestimated. Everyone wants to be praised, that is to say, praise is a need in people’s various activities in life. In English teaching, it can create great energy if it is being used appropriately. Learners are able to relieve tiredness, refresh spirits, and inspire their interests to study. With the using of the encouraging words, learners will more believe themselves and be more confident to develop their potential abilities, and then build the consciousness to struggle. At the same time, praise is also a very important factor to fulfill the successful education. Learners will be moved and enlightened when they receive honest and persistent encouragement and praise. The learners who are lack of confidence will find their confidence, and then absorb them in study. So it makes a great benefit on the whole teaching activities eventually. Therefore, encouragement and praise are the catalyst in English teaching, they should not be ignored. Encouragement and praise are the perfect gift in the world. And they are the most efficient catalyst. In fact, everyone wants to receive encouragement and praise. To learners, it is more than a teacher can imagine. Sometimes, one encouraging sentence from their teacher can cause a big change to a student, and turn a bad or not very good student into a better one. Why do encouragement and praise make so strong influence? The reason is that encouragement and praise can make learners happy, confident and force them to recognize their value, stimulate their passion to struggle, accelerate them to strive incessantly and not to give up casually.
