    To satisfy the human’s indoor environment requirements about life and job, we need some equipment to make the indoor air become comfortable. This technology about make artificial indoor environment is called the air conditioning system, air conditioning for short.
    At the years of 1901, Scientist Carrier in the United States has invented the first air conditioner of the world. In last century, the air conditioner’s function is only refrigeration or heating. Due to the requirements of the human, air conditioner is combined with the refrigeration and heating. Depending on the service object, there are two types of air conditioning comfort air conditioning and manufacturability of air conditioning. The object of the comfort air conditioning is indoor personnel. It is made to meet people's comfort requirements. Civil buildings and public buildings usually use this kind of air conditioners. Process air conditioning is in order to meet the requirements of industrial manufacturing. The building such as the freezer, clothing production shop, hot kitchen, warehouse, linen rooms, computer rooms, chemistry lab and so on, has a precision requirement of indoor environment parameters. The comfort air conditioning can’t reach their requirements. So they need manufacturability of air conditioning.
    The basic task of the air conditioning system is to let the indoor relative humidity and temperature control in a certain range. The base temperature of the air conditioning room means the lowest temperature that the room need. The base relative humidity of the air conditioning room means the lowest humidity that the room required. The precision of the air conditioning is refers to allow room temperature and relative humidity fluctuations in value.
    The building I designed this time is at Shanghai, its land area is 1480m²,its total building area is 7602m². This building is 32.05m tall. It has seven floors with shopping mall and offices.
    The characteristics of this building is show at the below.
    This is the air conditionings design of Shanghai GaoWang building. It totally has seven floors, its room’s type is shopping mall; the hall and the office.
    The first floor of this building is 4.5m at height, the second to fifth floor is 3.75m tall, the seventh floor is 5.2m tall. The windows of this building are about 2.1m tall, only little windows are 3.1m tall.
    This design is in strict accordance with the national standard. The indoor environment parameters are as below:
    The hall: its summer dry ball temperature is 26 degree, winter dry ball temperature is 20 degree, new air volume is about 2m³/m²*h, the noise standard is at 50NC.
    The meeting room: its summer dry ball temperature is 26 degree, winter dry ball temperature is 20 degree, new air volume is about 30m³/h*p, the noise standard is at 45NC.
    The office: its summer dry ball temperature is 26 degree, winter dry ball temperature is 21 degree, new air volume is about 30m³/h*p, the noise standard is at 45NC.
    The shopping mall: its summer dry ball temperature is 26 degree, winter dry ball temperature is 21 degree, new air volume is about20m³/h*p, the noise standard is at 50NC.
    The principle of this design is given priority to with economical and practical. Combine with the characteristics of this building, it don’t need to use the manufacturability of air conditioning. This air conditioning design of the Shanghai Gaowang building is the comfort air conditioning design.
    The main resources of this design is a book called《系统分析及设计》. This design’s main process is as below. First , we should calculate the air conditioning load. Second, we should use the number of air conditioning load to choose the air conditioning equipment. And then ,we should calculate the water system and wind system.
    This building is a comprehensive office building which has a shopping mall and lots of office. According to the function and characteristics of the office building, and meteorological conditions and air conditioning requirements, refer to the relevant literature to determine the design scheme. This building without the basement, so should not be placed a larger unit, so don't use all air system; Adopt fan-coil unit plus fresh air system design, each layer has a fresh air units, can be provided fresh air unit into indoor, fan coil units to undertake indoor hot and cold load. This design use the Double control program water system.
