    I. Introduction 

    In the classroom, teaching is a vital way that students can learn something. When we discuss the English education in elementary school, teachers need to pay attention to students’ interests so that they can learn better in English class. In fact, apart from the vocal language, there are many important ways to arouse students learning better in the classroom. Human body language used in foreign language teaching is one of them.

    On the other hand, body language is not only an indispensable way in foreign language teaching, but also an invisible power to improve the quality of English class. For the most part, the teachers are accustomed to using oral language and written language to transmit information in English teaching. However, it can’t get a good efficiency. In order to attract the students’ attention and get a better result, it is urgent and necessary to use body language in the classroom. As we all know that the teachers spread the knowledge with good appearance and gesture is the essential requirements for education. So, standing at the platform of the teachers should be filled with different and energetic body movements. It can help the teachers to express their thoughts and points more accurately and clearly. Besides, it can also attract the students’ attention and improve their interests to learning English.     To sum up, the significance of the teachers’ body language is that it can establish a good example for their students and make the relationship between the teachers and the students more harmonious. At the same time, the students’ studying enthusiasm can be greatly encouraged in this atmosphere.     When we are talking about body language, most of people often think about standing, walking, lying and sitting. In fact, this is only a unilateral statement. Maybe you will ask: “What is body language?” Speaking briefly, it is a kind of nonverbal behavior. In the oral communication process, people use some body movements to deliver information when they are talking. Generally speaking, people can make over one thousand gestures in our daily life, but the eyesight, countenance, gesture and manner are the four major kinds of body language in English teaching.
