摘要电影已然成为生活中越来越重要的角色。电影片名是整部影片内容与主旨的概括，因而电影片名的翻译对电影作品在异国的宣传起着重要的作用电影片名的翻译过程中受到许多因素的影响。因此,电影翻译变得越来越重要,特别是标题翻译。但是,我国目前在电影标题的翻译上存在不少问题。本文在探讨影片片名特征和翻译现状的基础上，从价值观差异、宗教差异、地理环境差异、历史文化差异等多个层面分析了中西方文化差异对电影片名翻译的影响，并提出了电影片名翻译的几种可行策略。以便读者能大致了解电影标题翻译的情况,给予足够的关注电影标题翻译,并改善这种情况。40806

Abstract Film has played an increasingly important role in our life. Film titles are generalization of the whole film content, therefore film title translation in a foreign propaganda plays an important role. It is influenced by many factors. As a result, film translation has become more and more important, especially title translation. However, there are many problems in film title translation. In the hope of improving the present situation, this paper makes a study on how to translate English and Chinese film titles. The cultural differences influencing on translation of film title cannot be ignored. This paper analyses Chinese and Western culture which affects the translation of film titles from many levels such as the multiple dimensions of Chinese geographical differences, value differences, religious differences and cultural differences. The paper is based on discussion of the features of film titles and the present situation of translation, and aims to put forward several possible strategies of film title translation. Therefore, readers can get a general idea about the situation of film title translation and pay enough attention to movie title translation, and improve the situation.

1.1 Research Background
With the process of globalization and the increasing exchange between Chinese and western cultures, there are more and more cultural communications as well as cultural shocks. Film, as a special and important medium in cultural exchange, has begun to attract every nation’s attention, and plays an important role both as an access to the foreign culture and as a significant way of spreading the native culture. Taking the American films as an example, they have influenced the worldwide people’s life in a broad way, especially the Hollywood films.
