    摘要由于受到历史、社会现实等方面的影响,中美教育存在着较大的差异。中国的教育受封建思想的影响比较严重,其教育模式较为封闭,而美国是一个移民国家,成立至今不过三百年,其教育几乎没有受到历史因素的影响,教育模式开放。本文首先阐述了中美教育各自的特色,然后运用比较分析法和文献分析法论述了中美教育在教育观念、教育内容和教育方式这些方面的差异,最后分析了产生差异的原因。通过比较,本文发现美国教育的最大特点就是它的民主性。学生可以在民主的环境中自由自主地学习。我们应该借鉴美国教育中的先进之处,来促进我国教育的发展。让教育更好的为社会经济发展做贡献,最终提升我国的综合国力、国际竞争力和国际地位。43044

    Abstract Influenced by the historical and social reality, the education between China and America has differences in some aspects. Chinese education is affected deeply by feudalistic ideas. Its educational pattern is relatively closed. On the contrary, America is an emigrant country, its history is less than 300 years. The education of it is not affected by historical factors. So American educational pattern is open. Firstly, this paper elaborates the characteristics of the two countries. Then, by adopting the comparative analysis method and literature analysis method it discusses the differences between the two countries from the aspects of the educational ideas, educational contents and educational methods. In the end, the paper analyzes the reasons of the differences. By comparing, we find that the biggest feature of American education is its democracy. In this environment, students can learn autonomously. We should draw lessons from American education and improve our education, letting it make contribution to our society and economy. And finally let our nation’s comprehensive national strength, international competitiveness as well as international status get improved.

    On the Educational Differences Between China and America-A Case Study of UP

    I. Introduction

        Education is an eternal theme for human beings. As long as they exist, the educational phenomenon will never disappear. “Education is the development and training of the human being in all his capacities, spiritual, intellectual, and physical...”(Xue 147). Education is a kind of social activity, which imparts knowledge and technical specification in a purposeful, organized, planned way. The fundamental value of it is to provide the talent who is equipped with noble faith, virtue, honest and law-abiding, exquisite workmanship for country, to train the labor that is needed in the economic and social development, to train qualified citizens, to promote economic and social development and national prosperity as well as world peace. So education has an important influence on society and government. The development of the society relies on the progress of education. Today, our economy grows in a high speed. It benefits from the reform and opening-up policy. However, it can not do without educational progress. Science and technology is the first productive force. Only education develops, can productivity has the progressive space. America is the only one super power in the world. It’s economy and science are highly praised by people all over the world. All of these achievements benefit from education. American education is the best one in the world as well. It’s educational strategy enables educators in America accept advanced ideas and teaching methods. The main reason for America transcends other countries so much is its education. The important aspect of American education is animation. It has educational effect on people especially the children. When they watch cartoons, they receive education imperceptibly. We can say that animation is an auxiliary tool of education. The film UP conveys the scientific educational ideas, educational contents and teaching methods in America. Only from animation, can we figure out some educational differences between the two countries. By comparing the persities in education, we can find out the shortcomings in our education, at the same time, draw lessons from its advanced teaching pattern. Then we can improve our nation’s education and let it serve for social and economic development. In the end, the comprehensive national strength, international competitiveness and status will be improved. This paper mainly focus on the educational differences between the two countries. Firstly, it elaborates the characteristics of Chinese education and American education respectively, then it introduces the differences between the two countries which are shown in the movie, including educational ideas, educational contents, teaching methods and educational results. Thirdly, it analyzes the causes of educational differences between the two countries, including historical reasons and social reality reasons. The last part is the conclusion. The research methods adopted in the paper are the comparative analysis method and literature analysis method. By reading and analyzing a series of literature, we list out the differences and compare the three aspects of education. Through comparison, we comprehend the superiority of American education. And the distinct feature of it is democracy. We should learn from it and then improve the educational quality of our country. Let the education serve for society and economy in a better way, realizing the“Chinese Dream”.
