    1. Introduction

Chinese Idioms from the classics, ancient famous historical stories or words of people, their structure are compact, people can not arbitrarily change their order and their solidified structure. In terms of speech or writing, using some idioms accurately and appropriately will make the discourse more interesting or vivid, lively and powerful. Threre are three main formats in Chinese idioms:1. additive: be plain in one's life style;the right and wrong. 2. overlapping: talk in an impressive way, with great care, be conscientious and do one's best. 3. interleaved: hit off, resort to deceit, far apart from each other. And there are no strict requirements of the format of English idioms in composition, their forms are flexible. English idioms without strict requirement of format, the origin of their word combinations is two word combinations, three words, four words together and so on. For example, crocodile tears, get the sack, burn the middle night oil, have axes to grind. In a word, the charm of Chinese idioms is marvelous, and so is the essence of Chinese culture. With a good understanding of Chinese idioms, you can think about issues in the way what Chinese do. The Chinese idioms are translated into English, not only conducive to the spread of Chinese culture, but also conducive to the western scholars who need to explore the Chinese culture and improving their literature and personal development.文献综述
