3.1 Domestication versus Foreignization
Translators in Hong Kong usually put aside the former English name but create new one according to the context when they translate English film titles. They usually use domestication. The new Chinese name is full of entertainment and local features. However, compared to Hong Kong translation, English film title translation in Mainland China is more inclined to foreignization, which is as close as possible to the original intention.
