摘 要随着全球化进程的加速,国与国之间的交流也日益频繁,也越来越需要对异国文化有深刻理解力并具有较高跨文化交际能力的人才。然而,我国学生在用英语进行跨文化交际时经常出现交际障碍。因此,对高中生英语跨文化交际能力的调查研究势在必行。本研究采用问卷调查的研究方法,调查了当前高中生英语跨文化交际能力的现状。研究结果显示,当前高中生的跨文化交际能力不容乐观,并在此基础上探究其原因并提出相关的可行性建议。37107

Abstract With the acceleration of globalization, communication with foreign countries is more frequent than ever. So people with intercultural communicative competence are in greater need. However, the students in China still have many problems in intercultural communicative competence. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on the investigation into the intercultural communicative competence of high school students. The method of this study is questionnaire and this study aims to investigate the present situation of the intercultural communicative competence of high school students. The results of the study show that the intercultural communicative competence of high school students is not optimistic. And on the basis of study, the thesis will explore the reasons and put forward suggestions.

I. Introduction
Nowadays, English is highly attached importance in senior high school courses in China. For a long time, due to the impact of examination-oriented education, the main objective of English teaching in our country is to cultivate the students’ language knowledge and language skills. Therefore, although many students have mastered the pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar knowledge, and at the same time have a certain of listening, speaking, reading and writing ability, but after learning English for nearly ten years, most of the students still cannot communicate fluently with foreigners. So the present situation of English education in China is frustrating, and it cannot satisfy the social needs of people with intercultural communicative competence. Therefore, the investigation on the present situation of intercultural communicative competence of senior high school students is imperative.
The paper aims to understand the present situation of senior high school students’ intercultural communicative competence, to explore factors that impact high school students’ intercultural communicative competence development, and put forward feasible suggestions.
The thesis is pided into five chapters. Chapter one is an introduction background of intercultural communicative competence in senior high school English teaching. Chapter two is study on intercultural communicative competence, including some basic concepts, such as, culture, intercultural communication, intercultural communicative competence, and some previous research at home and abroad. Chapter three is discusses the result of this research and factors of senior high school students’ intercultural communicative competence in English language teaching. Chapter four puts forward suggestions for the intercultural communicative competence. Chapter five is a conclusion.
