    Abstract To find out the differences between licensed subtitle translation and fansub-group translation, this thesis first concludes two major differences in three versions of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” subtitle translations made by China Film Group Corporation, the Eden fansub-group and COD fansub-group, namely different translation methods and different language styles (especially the entertainment style of fansub-group). Then, this thesis analyzes three reasons behind that from the points of communication, the language of film, and different work flows of China Film Group Corporation and fansub-groups. 42624

    The study has found that both licensed translation and fansub-group translation have their own advantages, as well as disadvantages.  Licensed subtitle is in line with the professional requirements in terms of communication, the language of film, but most audience can’t recognize it; in contrast, with high flexibility, welcomed by the audience, as fansub-group is, it fails to conform with the professional requirements in communication, and has an obvious tendency of entertainment. Compared with the previous studies, this study combines communication, the art of film, and different subtitle translation departments, achieving a combination of translation and other disciplines.

    This study is only a preliminary attempt, which I hope can benefit future Subtitle Translation Studies.

     摘要文章为了找出官方字幕与民间字幕的差异及其原因,首先对比了《复仇者联盟2》中影集团、伊甸园字幕组和COD字幕组的两大差别,即不同的翻译策略(直译和意译)以及不同的语言风格(尤其是字幕组的娱乐化风格)。接着,文章从传播学、电影语言的专业性角度,分析了两种字幕不同的原因,并且文章跟踪了中影集团和字幕组的两种译制过程,从现实角度寻找不同的原因.

    研究发现官方与民间字幕翻译水平各有优势,也各有弊病。官方字幕符合传播学的专业要求和电影语言的专业要求,但目前还得不到观众的认可和理解;字幕组灵活性高,受观众欢迎,但忽略了传播学和电影语言的专业要求,并且娱乐化倾向明显。比较以往的研究,本次研究综合了传播学、影视艺术、和译制部门三个方面,实现了翻译与其他学科的结合。

    本次研究还是一个初步的尝试,希望能对影视字幕翻译研究有所裨益。
