1.3 Overview of the study
The thesis is made up of five parts. Based on the theories of Chinglish and error analysis, the study research the Chinglish in the writing of seventy-four Grade seven students from junior high school, trying to find some causes of Chinglish. The author put up with some suggestions for English teaching to eliminate Chinglish.
Chapter one is introduction which includes background of the study, significance and purpose of the study and overview of the study.
Chapter two is literature review. In this chapter, the author offers the introduction of Chinglish including the definition of Chinglish, the difference between China English and Chinglish as well as the relative study abroad and at home. Then the author presents the information about error analysis such as the procedure of error analysis and relative studies.
Chapter three is research methodology. Research questions, subject, instruments and procedures are included.
Chapter four is results and discussion. In this part, the author shows the result in detail and discusses the possible causes of Chinglish according to the research questions.
Chapter five is the conclusion part. In this chapter, the author presents major findings of study and offers some suggestions for English teaching.
