基于对新兴颜色词的研究,本文将其结构分为五大类:名词性语素修饰颜色语素的颜色词、形容词性语素修饰颜色语素的颜色词、动词性语素修饰颜色语素的颜色词,外来语素修饰颜色语素的颜色词以及不带颜色语素的颜色词。相较于传统颜色词,新兴颜色词具有三种鲜明特点:词语搭配上的随意性、语义构造上的主观性和语用表达上的独特性。在语义层面,新兴颜色词可分为写实型新兴颜色词和写意型新兴颜色词两类。新兴颜色词具有商业功能、文艺功能和情感功能。从认知隐喻和转喻的角度研究新兴颜色词可以得出,隐喻主要运用于写意型新兴颜色词,转喻则主要运用与写实型新兴颜色词。而且,一部分新兴颜色词两者皆有。
通过研究新兴颜色词的使用情况,本文发现新兴颜色词遍及商业领域。新兴颜色词在给人们带来方便的同时,也由于它的随意性和模糊性而造成困扰和误解。这就要求相关部门对新兴颜色词的起名进行规范,逐步淘汰那些生造、随意性很大、模糊性很强的颜色词,保证颜色词的健康发展。
