    摘要根据新课改的要求,初中英语课堂教学应该注重学生自主学习能力和探究能力的培养。本文在分析初中英语课堂教学的现状以及探究式教学法的特点、原则、作用的基础上,探讨了探究式教学法在初中英语课堂教学中的应用,提出了实施这种教学法的具体策略,即创造一个宽松的探究式学习环境、激发学生的学习兴趣、培养学生的合作调查能力和采取激励评价方法。希望对初中英语课堂教学改革起到一定的推动作用。48820

    Abstract According to the requirements of the new curriculum, English classroom teaching in junior middle schools should pay much attention to the cultivation of students’ autonomous learning and exploratory competences. Through a descriptive analysis of the status quo of English classroom teaching in junior middle schools and the characteristics, principles and advantages of inquiry teaching, the paper aims at discussing the application of inquiry teaching to English classroom teaching in junior middle schools. Accordingly, the paper puts forward some specific teaching strategies such as creating a free exploratory environment, stimulating students’ learning interest, investigating cooperatively and incentive evaluation. This paper will hopefully be beneficial to promote the reform of English classroom teaching in junior middle schools.

    The Application of Inquiry Teaching Method to English Classroom Teaching in Junior Middle Schools

    I. Introduction 

        With the rapid development of society and booming economy, people have attached much importance to the elementary education, whereas the traditional English teaching pattern imposes restrictions to students’ autonomous learning ability, resulting in unsatisfactory teaching effects. Up till now, English teaching in junior middle schools still exists numerous problems, one of which is that the teaching methods haven’t been applied rationally. According to the New Curriculum Criteria, English teachers should utilize and develop course resources reasonably, expand academic channels, innovate teaching methods and assist students in cultivating good learning habits. Therefore, inquiry teaching method is a good choice for many educators with its advantages of autonomy, flexibility and openness, etc.
