    摘 要外语教学中是否使用母语一直是语言教学界争论的话题。历史上对母语使用的处理常走排斥或依赖两种极端。外语教学法现今的发展趋势为折中化,所谓折中,即合适的,便可拿来用,而不必恪守某一门某一派。这是外语教学法的进步。本文以母语正迁移的理论作为理论依据,通过对一些任课教师的调查问卷试图找出中学英语课堂中母语的使用量,分析了母语在英语课堂中的必要性和使用的具体要求,并归纳出一系列可行的教学策略,既充分发挥母语的正迁移作用,又克服母语对于英语学习产生的负面影响,从而提高英语课堂的教学质量和效果。10671

    Abstract
    It has long been a controversial issue whether native language should be involved in a foreign language teaching and learning. Historically, the way to deal with the use of mother tongue went to two extremes: either excluding it or relying on it. However, in recent years, a compromise trend of the limited use of mother tongue has been in vogue. Based on the theory of positive transfer of language, a survey was conducted in which some English teachers answered the questionaries and the aim of this survey is to find out the current situation of mother tongue use in middle school English classes. And this paper analyses the reasons and the specific requirements of using mother tongue in English class. In addition, a series of practical teaching strategies are recommended.The paper also discusses how to make good use of the positive transfer of mother tongue, and how to overcome the negative transfer of mother tongue to the English learning, thus hoping to improve the quality and the result of English class.
