摘 要文化是一种气氛，潜移默化地影响了存在于该文化氛围中的人和物。而英国足球文化是社会亚文化的一部分，是英国人在特有的文化土壤下，创造出的英国独有的文化。在英国，英国国家文化和民族文化对其足球文化的发展起了十分重要的作用。 本文对英国足球文化进行了研究，分析了具体的英国文化与英国足球之间的关系，包括英国足球文化的显著特征以及它的起源与发展等。本文，首先简要介绍了英国足球发展的历程，以便大致了解本文的主题。然后，介绍了英国足球与英国文化的关系，英国足球文化在英国文化中的地位与影响以及英国足球文化对英国人民的影响。

Abstract
Culture is a kind of atmosphere, which unconsciously influences people and objects that exist in the cultural atmosphere. British football culture is a part of subculture of the society and it was created by the United Kingdom’s unique culture. The British national culture and the ethnic culture have played an important role in its football culture.
This thesis discusses the culture of football, analyses the unique relationship between the United Kingdom culture and the British Football, including the British notable characteristics, the beginning, and the development of the British football culture, and so on.
The thesis begins with a brief introduction to the United Kingdom football history, in order to form a picture generally. Then, it introduces the relationship between the British football culture and the national culture of England, the place and influence of the football culture in the entire cultural system, and the impact on the British people brought by the British football culture.

I. Introduction
Culture, a complicated system, is the combination of the creation of both human beings’ spiritual wealth and material wealth. The culture of British soccer is of no exception, which includes the British soccer competition and the institutions, systems, modes of operation, spiritual connotation, based on the competition. Then, what on earth is the soccer? People are researching and discussing it all the time. However, soccer is absolutely not a simple round ball, instead, an object with abundant connotation. If we inquire also into the root of the matter, the British soccer, in fact, is a kind of culture, a spirit as well. It is an embodiment of the nation’s cultural spirit, and the external manifestation of the nation’s qualities. Different countries have different cultures, and different nations play soccer in different ways. The origin and the development of the British soccer root in the wide background of the English society, permeating and reflecting characteristics of English culture. Britain is the sprout area of the modern soccer sport. Now the British soccer has been given more meaning instead of a single sport event. Not only is it a significant component of people’s lives, but also it has become many people’s lifestyle indispensably.
