In the modern society, ethics values will never be ignored when Chinese culture is promoted. There are big differences between Chinese and English ethics values. The comparison can help people see the drawbacks of our nation. Then people can better promote the essence of the ethical culture and learn the positive factors in western ethical culture.
In the paper, a lot of Chinese and English poems are compared and analyzed. It is also beneficial for people to know more about the common features of female images in poems. If other researchers want to do the study concerned, the paper may be a useful material. Besides, although there is a number of studies on the differences in Chinese and western ethics values, only a few scholars compare them from perspective of female images in Chinese and English poems.
1.3 The Organization of the Paper
The paper has three parts. In the first part, the features of female image in Chinese poems are summarized and listed . In the second part, the paper will analyzed the features of female image in English poems and listed them. In the last part and also the most important part, the paper will summarize the ethics values reflected in Chinese and English poems. 1.4 Research Methodology
Corpus include about Chinese and English poems selected from The Book of Songs and other poems in ancient times. The poems involve the descriptions of female image. Since new kind of mind like democratic ideas influences most of people in recent years, the poems in ancient times seem to be more scientific and accurate for the study.
