First, it is Hymes’ Communicative Competence theory. His theory offers theoretical foundation for the post CA in English teaching. Second, it is Canale and Swain’s Communicate Competence theory. In their opinion, communicate competence theory includes grammatical competence, sociolinguistic competence, textual competence and strategic competence. Third, it is Bachman’s Language Communicative Competence. He holds that language communicative competence consists of language competence, strategic competence and psychological mechanism competence. He makes it systematize, and finally, he puts psychological mechanism in the definition of language communicative competence. He not only riches the exposition of language competence, but also makes strategic competence independent of language competence. Meanwhile, he explains the relatively importance of the implementation factors.
