Another method is process approach, and it is a relatively new one. It is a writing approach. Language learners focus more on process rather than products. Certainly, students must and are demanded to finish their products, but the writing process is stressed more.
In the process approach, learners are regarded as the center in learning, so that we should pay attention to their requirements, expectations, goals, skills, and knowledge. Learners are able to develop their abilities such as knowledge and skills with the help of the other learners in the writing process.
In the process writing, the writing process is not a linear learning process but a recursive process. Fake free writing for an example, it is fast writing of letting your thoughts wander and follow the ones you like best. It can be ahead of brainstorm, because when you write freely, maybe it highlights the most prominent and interesting ideas and thoughts, or it lies behind brainstorm. All in all, learners could achieve their good writing goals through the process in so many ways.
Process writing is a writing approach, language learner focus more on the process rather than the products. Of course, learners must and are required to finish their products, but the writing process is emphasized more. Students become the center of this approach: they are allowed time and opportunities to select topics, generate ideas, draft, revise, and consider feedback from teachers. The teacher is seen as an active participant in the learning process, using various mental strategies in order to pick out the system of the language to be learned. Students’ being able to monitor and manipulate their behavior turns out essential. Not restricted to the assessment of writing product, teachers can be able to help students as guides or facilitators during the whole writing process. Therefore, we can understand that process writing is a very great and convenient approach.
