So the Junior High School English teaching reform is imminent. The validity of English teaching needs to be strengthened urgently. This essay elaborates on validity of English teaching under the requirements of New Curriculum Standard. Based on the analysis of the case study and from the aspects of students,teachers,teaching methods,teaching materials and other point of view, it aims to put forward some relevant opinions and suggestions on the problems of Junior High English teaching.
2. Literature Review
During past few years, A new round of basic education curriculum reform emphasized on the three-dimensional targets which are knowledge and skill, process and method, emotion attitude and values to promote the comprehensive and harmonious development of students.
We know the basic goal of Junior High School English teaching is to cultivate their students' basic language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. With the rapid development of our education, Junior High School English teaching plays an important role in the Nine-year compulsory education. Therefore, the validity of English teachers’ teaching activities of Junior High School is very indispensable.
According to the previous studies, most teachers have returned master of the class to our students. Their English teaching only focuses on the form but ignoring the explanation of concrete English knowledge. Still the students, they take positive response to the requirements of the New Curriculum Standard, focusing on class teaching participation. My thesis is based on the previous studies, from every aspect of requirements of the New Curriculum Standard, in order to make some evaluative suggestions.
3.A brief Introduction of The New Curriculum Standard
In 2013, national implementation of the New Curriculum Reform took Deng Xiaoping’s education theory education should be oriented to modernization, world, future and Jiang Zemin’s Three Represents theory as guidance. It thoroughly carries out our country’ education policy and promotes quality-oriented education. Besides learning basic knowledge and skills,students ought to realize how to learn and be a better people.
In the aspects of its contents, it strengthens the integration between students’ lives and modern society, science and technology, taking the students' learning interests and experience into consideration, teaching them lifelong learning knowledge and skills. The way of curriculum implementation promotes students' active participation, exploration and practice skills, cultivating the students’ ability to collect and process information,to acquire new knowledge ,to analysis and solve problems and to cooperate with others.Changing curriculum evaluation standard can have an effect on promoting the overall development of students, improving the quality of teachers and their teaching practice, consolidating the quality education functions.
In a word, the New Curriculum Standard must construct the curriculum system which makes a criterion of basic requirements of the quality-orientated education.
It comprehensively promotes quality-oriented education, cultivating a great generation of the Chinese to bear the burden of country’s tomorrow development. The new regulations of the English course are also reformed by the New Curriculum Standard. It requires the schools to attach importance to English education reform and the construction of high level-quality English education. At the aspects of our students, it lays a solid foundation for students' all-round and lifelong development. We should offer more opportunities and free space for students to communicate with each other. What’s more the New Curriculum Standard encourage the Junior High School students to take a various forms to develop their comprehensive of listening,speaking,reading,writing and other language skills.At the aspect of teachers,it asks them to establish a new view of students,to create the English classroom situation, and pay enough attention to students’ knowledge internalization. Besides, it also encourage teachers to teach students in accordance with their aptitudes and adopt new teaching contents,forms to improve the teaching validity.文献综述
